MONO International School provides learning opportunities through three main programs: our officially registered Kindergarten, the After-School Support Program for Grades 1–6, and Part-Time Skills & Vocational Training—helping learners build strong foundations, develop practical skills, and prepare for their future.

Our Official Kindergarten Program

A Strong Beginning for Every Child

MONO International School provides an officially registered kindergarten program, recognized by the relevant education authorities in Cambodia. We provide a safe, caring, and joyful environment where young children build strong foundations through age-appropriate learning, play, creativity, communication, movement, and social experiences.

Our kindergarten helps children develop knowledge, confidence, positive character, and a love of learning, preparing them for a successful transition to primary school and the next stage of their education.

A Morning at MONO Kindergarten

Our kindergarten morning program runs from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM and is organized into three age-appropriate classes for young learners.

Each morning begins with warm greetings and a light breakfast, followed by a short exercise or movement activity. Children then take part in their first learning session, followed by a caring break where teachers help them with personal hygiene, handwashing, and their main breakfast.

Throughout the morning, children learn through a balance of structured lessons and joyful activities, including early mathematics and numbers, language development, coloring, art, creativity, and hands-on learning. Teachers give each child individual care and attention, helping them eat, clean up, learn, and participate with confidence.

Toward the end of the morning, children take part in a short creative learning task connected to what they have learned that day, such as simple paper crafts, coloring, or other hands-on activities.

The morning closes with songs, group activities, and simple daily reminders that encourage good habits, discipline, respect, responsibility, and positive behavior.

At MONO, each morning brings together learning, care, creativity, and joyful participation.

After-School Learning & Support
Program

Grades 1–6 | Afternoon Program

A structured afternoon program at MONO providing additional learning, practice, guidance, and enrichment for primary students after their regular school day.

Our Afternoon Learning Program

Grades 1–6 | Approximately 1:00 PM–5:00 PM

After their regular school day, primary students join MONO for a structured afternoon of academic support, skills development, and guided activities. Teachers organize the sessions according to students’ learning levels and needs, with short breaks between lessons.

- English — Building a Foundation for the Future
English is an important skill for education, communication, technology, and future opportunities around the world. MONO teachers organize level-based English classes, helping children build a strong foundation, improve communication, and progress step by step.

- Mathematics — Understanding, Practice & Problem-Solving
Teachers provide guided lessons, regular practice, and problem-solving activities to strengthen understanding. The program supports children who need to rebuild their foundations while also providing further challenges for those ready to move ahead.

- Khmer — Strong Foundations for Learning
Teachers provide support in reading, writing, comprehension, homework, and regular practice to strengthen the language foundations needed for continued education.

- Character & Leadership
Teachers integrate lessons and daily activities that develop respect, discipline, responsibility, time management, listening, cooperation, and practical life skills alongside academic learning.

- Monthly Learning Tests
Teachers conduct a monthly test to monitor learning progress, identify areas that need more support, and understand where additional practice is needed.

- Quarterly Achievement Recognition
Results from three monthly tests are combined to recognize the top-performing students. Certificates, encouragement, and special gifts celebrate effort, progress, and achievement while encouraging a positive spirit of learning and healthy challenge.

- Creativity & Activities
Toward the end of the week, teachers organize creative activities, art, games, songs, movement, and preparation for upcoming school and cultural events.

- Computer Skills
MONO also has a computer skills program to introduce primary students to basic digital learning. The program is being developed as classroom space and computer resources become available.

Part-Time Skills & Vocational Training

Flexible Learning for Future Opportunities

MONO’s Part-Time Program provides flexible learning opportunities for older students, young people, school leavers, and those preparing for employment. Classes are designed for learners who have free time during the day or evening and want to develop practical skills for their next step.

- English Language — The main part-time program, with classes organized by English level and appropriate learning materials to build communication and workplace confidence.
- Computer & Digital Skills — Practical computer learning to support future study, office work, and employment opportunities, with the program continuing to develop as resources become available.
- Chinese Language — An additional skill area being developed to provide learners with more opportunities for communication and employment in local businesses and workplaces.
- Flexible Class Times — Classes are generally one to two hours and may be arranged around learners’ schedules, including midday and evening sessions.
- Skills for Employment — Learning is focused on practical abilities that can support future study, job applications, workplace communication, and everyday professional life.
- Learning Beyond the Classroom — MONO also seeks opportunities for learners to gain wider experiences through volunteers, cultural exchange, and connections with people from different backgrounds.
