Experience Thma Bang Beyond the School
Life at MONO offers more than teaching and volunteering. Thma Bang is a peaceful rural area surrounded by forests, farms and local villages, giving volunteers a chance to experience a side of Cambodia that is very different from the busy cities.
One special part of local life is seasonal farming and fresh fruit. Depending on the season, you may enjoy fruits grown around local farms and villages, including durian, banana, avocado, passion fruit, papaya, rambutan and mangosteen. You may have opportunities to visit farms, walk around the village, meet local families, or even experience a local homestay and overnight village experience when suitable arrangements are available.
Volunteers are free to explore and enjoy their personal time independently, while MONO may also introduce suitable local activities, community events and cultural experiences when available. Come not only to volunteer, but to slow down, explore, connect, taste, learn and create unforgettable memories in the heart of rural Cambodia.
